Travis S. Wix, 35, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Travis took great pride in his service to his country as a member of the US Army. He had a passion for video games, particularly enjoying his time in Entropia Universe.
Born on January 22, 1990, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of Shawn and Angela (Young) Wix. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Helen Wix.
Travis is survived by his adoring wife of five years, Felicia Wix; his sons, Derek Coulter, Jr. and Ryker Wix; his father, Shawn Wix; mother, Angela Young; brothers, Michael Wix and Bradley Wix; grandfather, Louis Wix; as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A Funeral Service in honor of Travis will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, followed by burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Travis’s memory be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
