Trenton Delayne Clifford McCormick, 39, of Hutto, Texas unexpectedly went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 28, 2025, in Taylor, Texas. Trenton was born on May 16, 1985 to Shasta D. McCormick and Kim Poole in Taylor, Texas. Trenton was raised in Taylor and attended Taylor schools and graduated from Thrall High School in May 2004.
Trenton will be met with open arms by his beloved grandmother, Bobbie J. Huff, who lovingly called him “Honey”, maternal grandfathers, Clifford L. Black and Marcus Huff and paternal grandparents, Clifton and Estella Poole; aunts, Linda Seabrook, Rose Davis and Sheila “Tokie” Huff.
Trenton had a one of kind smile and a heart of gold. Trenton’s love for family was paramount. His love for his darling children was known by all. They were his world, his heart and his soul. Trenton loved spending time with his kids, family gatherings, watching the Dallas Cowboys and especially, OU football, which he was an avid fan. His love for football translated over to is amazing athletic ability as an outstanding wide receiver beginning with Taylor Pop Warner, then Taylor High and Thrall High Schools. Trenton accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Salvation Church of Taylor.

McCormick (Maurice Edwards) of Hutto, TX, father, Kim Poole of Austin, TX; father figure, LC Cox of Lexington, TX; wife, Kari Martinez of Taylor, TX; two daughters, Simaya and Summer; one son, Santana; baby sister, Brittany Buckman of Hutto, TX; brothers, Tremaine Poole and Bradley Simms Poole of Austin, TX; aunts, Sheila Saul of Pflugerville, TX, Shea Jones (Gerald) of Taylor, TX, Sharrah Jackson (Greg) of Pflugerville, TX, Evelyn Newman of Taylor, TX, Vickie Huff-Smith of Killeen, TX, Dolly Johnson and Dianeter Randolph; uncle, Christopher Huff of Georgetown, TX. Special Cousins/Brothers, Rogee’ Saul, LeNerick Mitchell and Gregory Jackson II; Cousins, Tempest Coulter (Justin), Reagon Dawson, Amaris Jones, Briana Doucet (Joseph) and Aaliyah Jackson; along with a host of cousins and dear friends.
Visitation for Trenton will be Saturday April 19, 2025 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor from 12:00 noon until 1;00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
