Tressa Renee Carpenter

Tressa Renee Carpenter, age 58, of Marianna, Florida, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Jackson Hospital.

Tressa was born on February 8, 1968, in Madera, California, to Michael and the late Robert Downum. She graduated from Rio Vista High School in California with the Class of 1986. Tressa had a vibrant personality and never met a stranger. She loved interacting with people and was known for her wonderful sense of humor. While she held many roles throughout her life, her most cherished was that of a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Downum.

Tressa is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dennis Carpenter; two sons, Robert and Damien Carpenter; her mother, Michael Downum; those she considered her daughters, Brooklyn Boyd, Gracelyn Boyd, Jasonah Boyd, and Audrianna Basham; her sister, Felecia Dorchuck and husband, Jerry; and her nieces, Catie and Araya Boggini.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Hill officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Interment will be 2:00 P.M. EST, Monday, April 6, 2026 in the Tallahassee National Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Services are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
