TREVA LOUISE YOUNG

Treva Louise "Lou" Young passed away December 30th 2025 at the age of 71 at her home. She grew up in Kinta, and graduated with the class of 1973. She married Gary Young August 3rd, 1973 and they made their home together at Kinta. They spent 25 years with Gary's work in Illinois. They returned home to Kinta in 2005. She worked for Kinta Public Schools until retirement. She enjoyed raising chickens, ducks, turkeys, peacocks, geese and guineas. She also enjoyed sewing, hunting, and fishing, and adored her family most of all. She's Survived by her 2 children, Jennie Johnson of Quinton, Gary Wayne Young and wife Katie of Haileyville; 6 Grandchildren, Austin Sivels and wife Nicole, Lindsie Johnson, Becki Mills, Gavin Young, Grady Young, Gary (Shugie) Storm; 3 Greatgrandchildren, Jade Holland, Allison Sivels, Aspen Sivels; Parents, Gene and Treva Ford of Kinta. 1 Brother, Paul Ford of Kinta. 1 Sister, Linda King and Husband Mark of Kinta. Numerous nieces and nephews. She's preceded in death by her Husband Gary Young. 2 Brothers, Kenneth Wayne Ford, James Ford. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 2nd, 2026, 11:00 A.M. at R. E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel. Minister; Reverend Bill Fitzer. Pallbearers; Gavin Young, Grady Young, Gary "Shugie" Storm, Mark King, Kenny Ary, Jake Ary. Interment following at Sans Bois Cemetery Kinta. Pot Luck dinner will be held at First Baptist Church Kinta, Ok. if you wish to bring anything or just come and join us.
