Trey Cornwell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes - Brooksville Chapel on Jan. 30, 2024.
Trey A. Cornwell, "Michelle", 31, of Brooksville, Florida passed away on January 27, 2024, in Milton, Florida. Trey "Michelle" was born in Gainesville, Florida on March 14, 1992. He was the thirdborn of eight children.
As a child Trey enjoyed playing sports. He played soccer, baseball, football, basketball and was even on his high school swim team. He was also very smart. He made honor roll or principals list more than all of his other brothers combined. He was very close with his brothers and cousins growing up. They would play outside from sun up to sun down then come inside and play video games, board games and Pokémon cards until bedtime.
As an adult Trey got more interested in art. He loved to draw pictures and write poetry. He also loved music. He enjoyed to write songs, sing, and played the guitar. One thing many people may not know about him is how much he enjoyed cooking. He would cook meals for the entire family. His favorite meal to cook was beef stroganoff.
Trey was always a funny, friendly and caring person. He could always take a joke. If you gave him one you better be ready to take one though. He always seemed to bring more fun and life into the room. He was also very outgoing and could talk to anyone. He would make friends with them too and he could be friends with anyone. He never judged people before he got to know them either.
Trey could find the positive in any situation. He was a great person and an amazing friend, brother and son.

Sending love and light to all those who knew this beautiful soul. I exchanged letters with Michelle while in prison and got to share some incredible conversations. Michelle will be very missed and we will remember them always. If there's ever a way we can help or support, please don't hesitate to reach out. Much love.

I am Treys cousin from Texas. I spent all my summers growing up with Troy, Travis, Trey, and Mikey. I will forever cherish those times!
One summer Uncle Troy took us all to rollerblade around Ridgewood high. With trey being the youngest he was usually just behind the rest of us. We eventually encountered a long downhill, and we all made it except Uncle Troy who took a big spill and got some pretty bad road rash. The funny part was Trey was no older than 9 or zap and he cruised right past Uncle Troy as he ate it and made it all the way down. I don´t know if I´ve ever laughed so hard!

This is one memory out of many, and I´ll never forget it.

Although it´s been many years since I´ve seen you I´ll sorely miss you. Love you, Trey.
