Trey Everett Heaton

Trey Everett Heaton, of Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the age of 17. Trey was born on December 14, 2007, in Asheboro, where he lived his entire life, bringing joy and warmth to all who knew him.

Trey attended Lenoir Youth Academy and further pursued his passion by participating in welding classes at Randolph Community College. He was employed with "The Flying Pig" in Asheboro, where he was always respectful and kind to everyone.

Trey's interests were diverse and filled his life with joy and purpose. He loved fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and connected him to nature. He cherished spending time with his friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Additionally, Trey had a love for playing guitar, and trying to create music.

Trey is survived by his parents, Laura and Jeremy Simpkins of Asheboro, and his father, Michael Heaton of Asheboro. He leaves behind his beloved siblings, Jayden Heaton, Ryder Heaton, and Jeremiah Simpkins. Trey is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Rene Fox, paternal grandparent, Iris Simpkins, and his biological paternal grandparents, Michael and Debbie Heaton. His memory will also be cherished by his aunts and uncles, Donnie and Kristen Lineberry and Jason Simpkins, and his dear cousins, Chance, Townsley, Lucian, and Ryker.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Midstate Cremation & Funeral Service in Asheboro. A funeral service to honor Trey's life will take place at 2 p.m. on September 17, 2025, in the Midstate Chapel with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating.

Trey Everett Heaton will be remembered for his kind heart, lively spirit, and the love he gave to his family and friends.
