Trina Barger, 59, of Rogersville, passed away June 28. The world got dimmer and heaven sure got a lot more interesting when Trina Gregg Barger arrived.

For 59 years, Trina was an absolute force. She had a heart of pure gold with a laugh that was contagious and a smile that brightened everyone's day. If you knew her, you knew she was always late for everything, but once she showed up the party had officially started. Fiesty, beautiful inside and out, hilarious, and absolutely one of a kind. She loved big, laughed loud, and fought hard. To know her was to absolutely love her. She had an entire army full of friends. No exaggeration. She never met a stranger and made friends everywhere she went. If you were lucky enough to ever cross paths with her, you got a story you would never forget, and a lifelong best friend. If there's one thing for sure, it's this: Trina will still be talked about 30 years from now and probably forever. Her name will pop up in stories, in laughter, and in someone saying, "Lord, do you remember that time Trina…?" Followed by a story that's equal parts hilarious, unbelievable, and 100% true. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband: Jeff Barger; a daughter: Natasha (Chris) Gregg; a son: Nicholas (Amber) Ricker; a stepson: Tyler (Morgan) Barger; her granddaughter her "mini-me": Kylee Gentry; her dad: Leslie Reedy; brothers: Doug (Stephanie) Reedy, Brent (Regina) Gregg, and Kent Gregg; fur babies: Smokey and Bella; a special cousin: Debbie Green; special friends: Toney Wheeler and Angel Knight Lucas, and entire army of friends and people she loved that could never all be named.

The family would like to give special thanks to everyone who loved her and lent a hand in caring for her, especially Lisa Marion (Amedisys Hospice Care) and all of the angels at The Serenity House in Morristown. Visitation hours will be from 5-7 p.m. July 2 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville. A celebration of Trina's wild, beautiful, unforgettable life will follow at 7 p.m. in Christian-Sells Chapel with the Rev. Scott Farmer and the Rev. Stevie Rogers officiating.

Graveside service will be July 3 at 11 in the Tieke Cemetery. Those who wish to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Come as you are, bring your best Trina story, and be ready to laugh - because that's exactly how she would have wanted it.
