Trina Dawn Gilreath

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Trina Gilreath Lopez, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, who left this world on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 57.

Trina was a woman who never took "no" for an answer. Whenever you told her something wasn't possible, she would find another way to do it, be it her health, fighting for her beloved son Jesus, or any obstacle she encountered in life. She lived a life filled with pain, both physical and emotional, but always found a way to hide it, and put a smile on your face.

Though Trina didn't open her heart easily, those fortunate enough to be let in knew without question that they were deeply loved. She would move mountains for the people she cherished, especially her husband Armando and her son Jesus. During her pregnancy, she took extraordinary care to bring Jesus safely into the world, and when he arrived a few days early on November 1st, 2006-healthy and happy-she often said it was the happiest day of her life. The second happiest, she would tell anyone who asked, was the day she watched Jesus graduate from High School, just six months before her departure from this world.

Trina's strength wasn't just in overcoming obstacles, it was in the quiet moments of tenderness, the sacrifices made without fanfare, and the unwavering presence she provided for her family.

Trina is survived by her mother, Linda Gilreath; her husband, Armando Lopez; her son, Jesus Lopez; sisters, Cheri Gilreath, & Betty Ann Miller; aunts and uncles, James & Janet Gilreath, Ronald & Rita Skinner, David & Cathy Browder, and Jimmy & Lisa Gilreath; godchildren, Ciara Jones & Morgan Miller, and numerous cousins, and friends.

Memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Minister David Browder officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
