Patricia Carolyn Fauntleroy, known affectionately as Trish, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on September 14, 1954, Trish was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Trish was married to Alvin Fauntleroy Sr. and was the proud mother of two children, Teresa Fauntleroy and Alvin "AJ" Fauntleroy Jr. She cherished her role as a grandmother to MyKayla Jordan, Navaeh Jordan, and Major Williams, who brought her immense joy.
She is survived by her Sister Dorothy Rodriguez, brother Frank Lee Hawthorne Jr. (Paulette); her sister Barbara Ann Brown, her brother Larry Payton Hawthorne (Julia), her sister Sharon Gibson (Rockland), and brother Zolly Gene (Linda). Trish also leaves behind sisters-in-law Sherida Hawthorne and Michelle Hawthorne, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, many of whom she embraced as her own children. Trish was preceded in death by her father Frank Lee Hawthorne Sr., her mother Dorothy Maude Hawthorne, brothers James Linwood Hawthorne, Joseph Nathaniel Hawthorne and Donald Corey Hawthorne.
Known for her thoughtfulness, Trish was always willing to lend a hand, whether driving friends to appointments or caring for children in her community. A strong and loving individual, she was never shy to share her opinions and was deeply valued for her honesty.
Trish served in the Army, reflecting her dedication to her country. She attended Walker Grant and John J. Wright,Spotsylvania High and later graduated from Stayer College with a bachelor's degree. A celebration of her life will be held at Agape Memorials, located at 2105 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, on Friday, October 4, 2024. A viewing will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a celebration of life from 12 PM to 1 PM and interment at Quantico National Cemetery.
