Tristan Lee Carlson January 23, 1992 – November 7, 2025
Tristan Lee Carlson was born on January 23, 1992, at Maryvale Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He moved with his family to Saudi Arabia in 1993, returning to Arizona in 1998.
After earning his GED, Tristan owned a business with his sister in Phoenix before moving to Morenci, where he began his career as an equipment operator. He first drove haul trucks and later became a shovel operator. For the past couple of years, Tristan worked for ADOT.
Before jobs at the mine, Tristan volunteered as a bartender at the Lloyd C. Hill Post 28 in Clifton as a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He especially loved helping with the annual Christmas in the Park event, handing out gifts to children. Tristan was always willing to lend a hand wherever he was needed.
A true self-taught talent, Tristan taught himself to play the guitar. He had many hobbies and interests, including gaming, model building, guns, shooting, football, and baseball.
Tristan is survived by: his grandmother, Florence; mother, Jeanne; father, Bill; sister, Samantha; brother, Austin; niece, Gianna; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Those who knew Tristan will remember him as incredibly smart, sweet, and funny. He loved to make people laugh and made it his mission to bring joy to everyone around him. Everyone who met Tristan loved him. He was deeply supportive and empathetic toward others, with a heart that loved fiercely.
Tristan was curious about everything and passionate about understanding how things worked. His intelligence, humor, and kindness will never be forgotten.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
