Troy Arango Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home on Oct. 18, 2025.
Troy James "T-Roy" Arango, 61, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at Valley Hospice in Steubenville, Ohio.
Born on May 22, 1964, he was the youngest of three children of the late Richard "Red" Arango and Patricia Banketas.
A graduate of the Weir High School Class of 1982, Troy later pursued his passion for welding, earning certifications from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. He built his career as a crane repairman and welder at Cleveland Cliffs, where he took pride in his craft.
Troy married the love of his life, Kathy, on July 13, 2013. The two were inseparable, true soulmates who did everything together. Whether attending concerts, or simply enjoying each other's company, their love was evident to everyone who knew them. Kathy was not only Troy's wife but his best friend, constant companion, and greatest joy.
Troy was a kind, funny, and soft-hearted man with a simple, country spirit. He loved riding his Harley, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, shooting pool, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He had a deep love for animals and was devoted to his cherished pets.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Arango.
He will be forever remembered with love by his wife, Kathy Gentile Arango; his son, Justin Arango; stepsons, Collin Pulice, Dawsen Tirabassi, and Stephen Tirabassi; sister, Lisa L. Arango; granddaughter, Aibhilin Pulice; nephew, Matthew Gonzales; nieces, Stephanie Lovechio and Vanessa Arango; and sister-in-law, Lauren Arango.
Troy's request for cremation will be honored.
He will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
There are no formal services scheduled at this time.

This is a hard time for me to share any one of the great adventures that Troy and I experienced together...It seems like a peace of my own DNA just left this earth..yet I celebrate His Heavenily Adventure in meeting our Lord Jesus Christ...With this being said I'm sure he would never want any of his memories with his friends and family members to be attached to sadness, but for us each to smile and even laugh when we think of all of individual memories that we shared with him...My memories are many, and my one that stands out the most, is that I was always his little buddy in High School that he vowed to protect just like an older brother would..I love you Troy and will see you again one day with our Lord...Thank you for everything we shared together in our life together...You will be missed by all of us...You will remain a part of me til my end....Boorzy
