Troy Mitchell Cable found his peace on August 8, 2025, at home in Ideal Corners. Troy was born on July 8, 1971, in Edina, Minnesota, to Richard P. and Pamela A. Cable. The family moved to Fifty Lakes in the early 70’s. After graduating from Pine River High School, he studied Aviation Maintenance at Thief River Falls Technical College. He returned to Crosslake, where he took over “The Trash Taxi” from his father, and later teamed up with Craig at Waterfront Services
If he wasn’t at work, he could often be found at a hockey rink. He played as a kid, coached, cheered for his kids, and was, of course, a huge Wild fan. If you were in Crosslake, it is likely you knew of or at least saw Troy. He will be remembered for his booming laugh, quick comebacks, big heart, and constant willingness to help.
He is survived by his sons Brady, Aaron, Connor, and Leyton, as well as his new granddaughter, Marlie, who were the pride of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Stacy.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th, at the Ideal Corners Fire Hall from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. A private burial will follow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
