Troy Chappell
Troy Chappell, age 84, of Easley, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024.
He was born on March 10, 1940 to Lemuel and Azalea Murphy Chappell. Troy worked his career in the HVAC industry as a sheetmetal foreman. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he loved serving the Lord through the Men In Action. He also enjoyed traveling the country camping with his loving wife and camping friends.
Troy is survived by his son, David Chappell (Diane) of Easley; his daughter, Dianne Simmons (Jacky) of Easley; his grandchildren, Michelle Simmons, Matthew Simmons (Allison), Shana Proffitt (Josh), Daniel Chappell (Regan), Justin Chappell, and Levi Chappell; his eight great-grandchildren; his sister, SueTempleton of Greenville; and his brother, Robert Chappell ( Carolyn) of Easley.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Linda Stegall Chappell; and his son, Darrell Chappell.
A special thanks to his caregivers with Loving and Gentle Care, Elizabeth Scott, Wanda Burton, Nanitsa Papadopoulos, and Myla McCandless for taking amazing care of him.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:45 AM-11:45 AM at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
