Troy Corder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ryan-Parke Funeral Home - Park Ridge on Mar. 19, 2026.
Troy Dale "Troysie" "Bud" Corder, 90, of Park Ridge, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Troy was born on August 8, 1935, in Marion, Illinois, to Elva and Troy Cecil Corder. His family later moved to St. Louis. After graduating from the University of Missouri, he began what would become a long and distinguished sales career. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves until 1964, receiving an honorable discharge.

Troy's work eventually brought him to Chicago, where he met the love of his life. On November 30, 1974, Troy and Mary Ann were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. They later settled in Park Ridge, where they built a life centered around family and dear friends. Troy's warmth and easygoing spirit made him someone people were naturally drawn to. He always went the extra mile to ensure his loved ones were cared for.

Above all, Troy was a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He took great pride in his family and found immense joy in caring for his children and grandchildren and watching them grow.

Troy is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Mary Ann Corder; his daughters, Sara Corder and Megan (Tom) Haugen ; and his cherished grandchildren, Lilyana, Aaron, Benjamin, and Daniel. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elva Corder and Troy Cecil Corder, and his sisters, Betty Jean Paul and Diane Peterson.

Troy will be remembered for his warm smile, the twinkle of mischief in his eye, and his deep devotion to the people in his life.

Visitation, Saturday, March 28 from 9:00 am –11:00 am at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 South Northwest Highway, Park Ridge. Prayers beginning promptly at 11:00 am and will then proceed to Saint Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 S Washington Street, (across the street from the funeral home), Park Ridge, IL 60068 for an 11:30 am Funeral Mass. Interment private
