Troy Durham

Troy Lee Durham, known affectionately as Troy to his friends and family, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on September 22, 1968, Troy was a man whose presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Troy's life was one of dedication and love, particularly for his family. He was a cherished father to his children, Donald, Jessica, Troy, Ryan Durham, and Tabitha Dotson (married to Stefan), who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. His role as a grandfather was one he embraced with enthusiasm, and his numerous grandkids will miss his playful spirit and boundless affection. Troy also shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, who found in him a constant source of support and fun.
He was a beloved brother to Roy, Denise, Steven, Jason (married to Regina), Jamie Durham, and Ramonda Bell, as well as Eva Buck and Cindy Davis. Troy's siblings will remember him as a pillar of the family, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of wisdom. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sumner and Mildred Durham, and his brother John Durham, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Troy's interests were a reflection of his unique personality. He had a passion for collecting knives, a hobby that he approached with the same meticulous care that he applied to all aspects of his life. However, his greatest joy was found in the time he spent with his family. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a large family gathering, Troy was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.
Troy's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and laughter he shared with everyone he met. His legacy is one of love, family, and the simple pleasures of life. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
