Troy was the beloved son of Armand "AJ" Godin and the late Carolyn Godin. He is survived by his father, AJ Godin; son, Taylor Godin; daughter, Alicia Godin; brother, Jason Godin; "bonus sister", Kayla Kelley and her family; grandmother, Melvina Godin; "bonus grandmother", Kay Bryant. Troy also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Godin; "bonus mom", Tamsey Godin; and grandparents, Armand Godin, Sr., Percy and Muriel Theriault.
Troy was a devoted father who adored his children. He was known for his infectious sense of humor and his dream of one day becoming a stand-up comedian. A passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan, Troy also enjoyed collecting comic books and listening to music. He had a generous heart and deeply cared for his friends and family.
Troy had a strong love for the Lord and was a recent attendee of First Assembly of God and Soulquest churches in Jackson and was employed at Ryder in Jackson.
Funeral arrangements are still pending. Interment will take place at Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery in Buchanan, Mississippi, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved mother, Carolyn.
