Troy Harm Obituary
Troy Harm, 56, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died November 21, 2024 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.
He was born October 7, 1968, in Aurora, Nebraska, the son of Randy and Rhea Harm.
He was confirmed at the First Baptist Church in Gothenburg and attended The Crossing Fellowship. He graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1987. Troy enjoyed running on the cross country team in high school and wanted to become a pilot or help council kids. He lived in Gothenburg most of his life. He became a father in 1993 to a beautiful girl, Kayla Harm. In July of 2020, Troy married Rebecca Pflaster. They shared four dogs, enjoyed motorcycle rides together, and attending Sunday worship. Troy was an incredible artist who enjoyed drawing and creating installments for friends and family. Much of his artwork included husker memorabilia, animals, photography, and anything patriotic. He was a prominent patriot and proud of his grandfather, father, brother, and nephews' military service. Troy was also a big Husker fan and looked forward to seeing a bowl game. Troy was a very loyal, family-oriented guy. He enjoyed being around family and especially loved playing with all his nieces, nephew, and great nephew. His biggest accomplishment and the thing he was most proud of was his daughter. No matter where he worked or who he spoke to, you can guarantee he was telling them about her. He was excited to walk her down the aisle.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Harm of Gothenburg, NE; daughter, Kayla (Nicholas Swanson) Harm of Central City, NE; mother, Rhea Harm, of Omaha, NE; sister, Tonja (Tim Meader) Rubenthaler of Lincoln, NE; brother, Toby (Kori) Harm of Gretna, NE.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Randy Harm, grandmother, Adeline Shabram, and grandparents, Eugene and Betty Tournor.
Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 am, at The Crossing Fellowship, November 26, 2024, with Pastor Jonathon Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
The family requests any memorials be sent to the Gothenburg Honor Guard.
