Troy Lee Jones, 80, a resident of Benton, went to his heavenly home on November 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 1, 1945, in Tellico Plains, TN., to the late Jesse James and Winnie Chambers Jones.

Troy was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church for 20 plus years. He retired from Vulcan Material after 25 years of service. Troy loved being outdoors, working on and trading in his cars.

In addition to his parents, Jesse James and Winnie Chambers Jones, he was preceded by his son, Ricky Jones; siblings, David Lee Jones, Jesse (Sue) Jones, Jr., William Theodore "Pete" Jones, Leonard (Ira Lee) Jones, Jearleene (Dee) Ellis, Susie (Cecil) Wilcox; sister-in-law, Irene Jones.

Left to cherish the many memories include his beloved wife, of 59 years, Lorene "Deanie" Bates Jones; son, Michael Jones; two granddaughters he thought the world of, Tayre and Ashlie Jones; brother, Clarence "Bud" Jones; sister, Stella (Donald) Floyd; sister-in-law, Jerry Jones as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home of Benton, with Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Towee Falls Baptist Church Cemetery, with David Jones, Wayne Jones, Doug Jones, Chris Jones, Craig Chastain, and James Gibbs serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Banks and Barry Jones.

His family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at Higgins.
