Joshua Troy Logan Powell, 20, of Nebo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
He was born in Marion on June 23, 2004. Troy was a member of Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed dancing and singing as well as playing with cell phones and balloons. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Flubb Patton, two uncles, Chris Grindstaff and Patrick Waters; and great-uncles, William Patton, Ricky Patton, Jerry Brendle, and George Brendle.
He is survived by his beloved grandmother who he called Nanny, Joyce Patton; sister, Mia Davis (Michael Davis); aunt, Margaret “Mimi” Grindstaff; great-aunts, Karen Sparks, Kathleen Hollifield, Diane Patton, Mary Harlee, and Ann Brendle; great-uncles, Donald Patton and Don Harlee; numerous cousins; and his special friends and caregivers at the Laurelwood Group Home.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Pass Free Will Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Alan Sailors officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
