Mr. Troy Dave Scott, age 59, of Macon, Ga., passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his home in Macon, Ga.
Mr. Scott was born on January 14, 1966, in Douglas, Ga., to the late Grady Lamar and Edith Hunkapillar Scott. He worked many years in boat manufacturing and enjoyed fishing, playing pool, going to the beach, and spending time with his family. Along with his parents, Mr. Scott is preceded in death by his wife, Lavonia Scott, sister, Dale Roe, and brother, Steve Scott.

Son: Ryan Rutland and wife Katie of St. Mary’s, Ga.
4 Daughters: Tina Murray and husband James of Pearson, Ga.
Starlene Jewell of Douglas, Ga.
Kimberly Scott of Macon, Ga.
Kristy Rutland of Macon, Ga.
Sister: Pam Lott and husband Ralph of Willacoochee, Ga.
Brother: Chris Scott and wife Marian of Fredericksburg, Va.
4 Grandchildren: Chelsea Odum, Dawson Jewell, Samuel Hankins, and Chloe Rutland
Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Scott were held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Willacoochee First Baptist Church in Willacoochee, Ga. with Rev. Russell Joiner and Rev. Joe Taft officiating. Special music included “Heaven by Noon” and “When I Get Where I’m Going” presented by cd and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” presented by soloist Jason Hunkapillar. The interment followed at Willacoochee City Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were: James Murray, Dawson Jewell, Luis Ortega, Timmy Hall, Derrick Hall, and Conner Hall
Honorary Pallbearers were: Barry Floyd
Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
