Truddie Spaulding, 85, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, with her family by her side.
Truddie was born to the late Clifton Reynolds and Lillie (Kindle) Vandyke. She graduated from Freetown High School in 1958 and went on to attend college in Jackson County. She married Larry J. Spaulding (Joe) on Oct 6, 2004 who preceded her in death, of which both shall be laid to rest together.
A devoted member of Grace Community Church, Truddie's faith was an important part of her life. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, flowers, gardening, and spending time searching for treasures while thrifting. She worked in home health care after leaving manufacturing in the 1990's. To fulfill her nursing journey she had started as a young girl. She gave so much of herself to others, she never knew a stranger.
Truddie is survived by her daughters, Jody (Kelly) Krinn and Tammy (Joseph) Schock; her son, Jerry/Greek (Brenda) Planck; brothers, Charles Royse and Richard Royse; sister-in-law, Christin Royse; grandchildren, Kara (Phil) Curry, JW Standeford, Christopher (Ashley) Standeford, Christina (Steven) Espy, Holly Schock, Chad (Sarah) Planck, Allison (Jorge) Martinez, and Jerimiah Planck; 23 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tonya; and her brother, Jay Royse.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on October 28, 2025 at Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, College Park Chapel, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana 46953.
A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery.
