Trudy A. Shampeau, age 61, passed away at her residence on July 30, 2025.
At this time, services are pending.
Trudy was born on September 10, 1963.
She married Jim Shampeau on December 26, 1981, and spent 48 years making memories together.
A lifelong lover of rodeos, horse shows, and barrel racing, Trudy found joy in the rhythm of hooves and the energy of the arena. Whether she was cheering someone on or just soaking in the atmosphere, she felt most at home around horses and the people who loved them.
Trudy was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She was a steady presence in the lives of her family, friends, and neighbors, always ready to help, listen, or offer a meal.
Music was the heartbeat of her home. From morning until night, there was always a song playing filling the air with joy. She also had a quirky and enduring habit of collecting pennies.
Above all, Trudy cherished her people. Family meant everything to her, and her friends were like family, too. Her love, generosity, and genuine spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Jim Shampeau; children, Robert Shampeau, Terrie (Cory) Kempf, Leslie Shampeau, and Justin (Mareenah) Shampeau; grandchildren, Meghan, Zachary, Kyle, Makayla, Jayvin, Orion, Kyrie, Nataliyah, Meilah, Abigale, Kendall, Conner and Blaze; great grandchild, Wesley; siblings, Claude "Skip" Arnold, William "Chuck" Reece, Beverly Gerlach, and Cathy Hall Garner; extended and adopted family, and best friend Cynthia Emerich.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and twin sister, Judy.
