Trumann “Kenny” Dickey passed away on February 23, 2026, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Born in Cape Girardeau, MO in August of 1942 to his late parents, Joseph Dickey and Annabelle Jasper. Kenny married to the love of his life, Vonda, in 1968. Kenny served our country as a Senior Airman in the Air Force.
Kenny was a man of many hobbies, enjoying trout fishing, deer hunting, and had a love for Case Knives. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Pocahontas with his wife. But above all, there was nothing in this world that Kenny loved more than his four grand girls.
After his service in the Air Force, Kenny worked for DuPont for 14 years, Elastic Stop Nut for 8 years, and finally retired from Waterloo in the early 2000s. Kenny and his wife owned and operated the Clip Joint in Pocahontas before they both retired to enjoy well-earned time together.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Annebelle, his sister Phylis Petit, and his brother Donald Dickey.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vonda Dickey; their daughter, Terri Guy, and her husband, Tony. Kenny leaves behind four granddaughters; Ryanne Richardson and her husband Corban, Ryleigh O’Donnell, Jordan, and Taylor Guy. Kenny was incredibly proud of his two great-grandkids, Emory White, daughter of Taylor, and Caius Richardson, son of Ryanne and Corban. Kenny is also survived by his two sisters, Susan Harville and Kay Dilly, along with countless close friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Mar. 14, at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas from 12 to 2 p.m. with a service following the visitation starting at 2 p.m. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel.
Kenny has asked that all funds that were to be spent on flowers be donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
