Tsuruko “Sue” Cary, a longtime resident of Belen, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. She was born March 1, 1936, in Okinawa, Japan, and later made her home in Belen, where she was a familiar and friendly presence in the community.
Known for her outgoing spirit, Sue found joy in classic Western films, singing, and her daily neighborhood walks. She is survived by her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests performing an act of kindness in her memory.
