Tully McElrath Obituary
Born on March 19, 1939, Tully was the son of the late Edward P. and Ruth Tully McElrath. A lifelong resident of Beacon, he graduated from Beacon High School and went on to serve his country with pride as a member of the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962.
Tully dedicated 40 years of his life to the Beacon Post Office as a Postal Carrier. He had a deep love of nature and was a member of the Hudson River Audubon Society, enjoying countless hours birdwatching. Tully also cherished his local history and was involved with the Beacon Historical Society.
Tully is survived by his daughter, Melissa McElrath-Bird; his granddaughters, Kaelyn Dickerson and her husband, Drew and Kaycie Bird; his great grandson, Everett Dickerson; his brother, David McElrath.
A private celebration of his life will be held.
Memorial donations in Tully's name may be made to the Beacon Historical Society, PO Box 89, Beacon, NY 12508.
