WADESBORO - Sunday afternoon Dec 22,2024 God called Angel Tundra Charlene Harris Willoughby home. Tundra was the daughter of Charlie Melton and Savannah Pennell Kiser who preceded her in death. She was born at home in Burnsville, North Carolina on June 5, 1968. She attended Bowman High School in Wadesboro, North Carolina and she later attended Stanly Community College for her CNA License and High School Diploma. She was a member of New Parkers Grove in Wadesboro NC and later joined Greater Grace in Marshville NC. Where she served on the Nurses Care Ministry. She was employed at CNA at Trinity Place,Albemarle NC, Autumn Care,Marshville NC and most recently at White Oak Manor,Waxhaw NC. She enjoyed dancing,fishing,crafting,and enjoying her grandchildren. She was not only loved by family but also loved by her peers. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Harold Willoughby Sr, her daughters, Priscilla (Franklin) Kelly of Kannapolis, NC, Pamela Sturdivant (Barry), Jerlisa Sturdivant, Jennifer Sturdivant (Donald), of Wadesboro, NC. One Step-Son, Harold Willoughby Jr(Elonda)of Monroe, NC. Sweet memories of 18 grandchildren . She leaves behind 3 sisters and one brother, Wanda (James)Swaringen of Richmond VA, Ella(Jackie) Mitchell of Shelby NC, Timothy Raynard Harris of Atlanta Ga, and Veronica Duchess (James) Crawford of Marshville NC. (Adoptive Parents) Martha and Billy Burns of The Burnsville Community and her God-sisters, Lorri Burns-Bennett, Solen (Cardell) Christian,, Nona (Tenisha) Burns, of The Burnsville Community, Karen (Frontis) Clyburn of Monroe, Belinda (Michael) Deese of Summerville. She had a special Aunt Shirley (Curtis) Parker of Wingate NC. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and long time friends.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
There will be no public viewing.
The family is gathering at their home on Anson High School Road in Wadesboro.
