Tyece Omari "T.J." James Jr.

We announce the passing of our little whirlwind, Tyece Omari James Jr., affectionately known as T.J. Born on July 13, 2020, in Bronxville, NY, T.J. zipped through this world faster than the Flash himself, leaving us on July 8, 2024, just shy of his fourth birthday at the tender age of 3.
T.J. possessed a kindness and love that could soften even Batman's stoic heart. He never met a stranger, believing everyone was either a friend or a future playmate. His big hugs could make anyone smile. Aspiring to be a police officer just like his dad when he grew up, T.J. envisioned himself as the hero Gotham needed, minus the grumpiness.
Mom was the MJ to his Spider-Man, while Dad was his real-life superhero. His younger brother Bray Bray held the coveted title of best friend, proving that sometimes, hero teams come in pint-sized packages. His wall of capes and masks allowed him to transform himself into a different superhero every day, and his mom into either his co-hero or villain. He adored dressing in his dad's bike patrol uniform as well. T.J. also attended Tick Tock Around the Clock daycare center, where he brought joy to his beloved teachers and aide Ms. Boddie, Ms. Joland, and Ms. Tasha. His daycare friends were his Justice League, each adventure more daring than the last.
A lover of all things heroic, T.J.'s favorites included Spiderman (especially Miles Morales Spiderverse), Captain America, The Flash, Batman, and the entire Avengers squad. On quieter days, Lightning McQueen, Mickey Mouse, Bubble Guppies, Blippi, and Cocomelon kept him company, while monster trucks provided endless revving excitement. Not one to miss out, he never met a dog he didn't try to befriend, making new furry pals wherever he went.
T.J. is preceded in death by his grandfather Kirk James, who we're sure was there with open arms, ready to hear all about his grandson's many adventures. He leaves behind a legion of loving family members and friends: Mother Sarah James, Father Bakim Tyece James Sr., little brother Braylon James, Mimi Sonya James, Grandma Terry James, Grandma and Papa Nadine and Patrick Legros, Nana Diane Golden, Tata Sabrina Legros, Nenen Armandy Jean-Charles, Aunts Da'naysia James, Synnia James, Yavanna James, Syrena Huggins, and Diane Golden, Uncles Kirk James, Jashud Caldwell, Baron James, and Curtis James, special family friend Buddy Eppes, beloved cousins Awriel Jean-Charles, Ayden Jean-Charles, Jeremiah Jackson, Elisabeth Caldwell, Joseph Caldwell, Kaylin James, Christina, and Adrian, and all his cherished friends from daycare.
The services for our caped crusader will be held at Liberty Live Church. Visitation hours are from 1-3 pm, followed by a service from 3-5 pm. Afterward, please join us for a repast at the church, where we'll share stories of T.J.'s heroic escapades and remember the laughter and love he brought into our lives.
In a world full of ordinary moments, T.J. was our extraordinary adventure. Please keep his loving and heroic spirit in your heart.
