Tyler J. Skarda passed away at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah on July 14, 2025, at the age of 45. He was born at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc on June 23, 1980, to Mary (Thorrington) and Jim Skarda. In 1998, Tyler graduated from Roncalli High School and went on to attend Marquette University, earning his degree in 2003. He worked at Cellular Sales (Verizon) and also enjoyed substitute teaching at Roncalli High School and volunteering at the Lakeshore Humane Society; and he loved watching Packer games. Tyler will live on through the decision to help others by being an organ donor.
Tyler is survived by his parents Jim and Mary Skarda, brother Scott and Susan (Boylan) Skarda, nieces Kylie (fiancé Brandt May) and Sienna Skarda, nephew Keegan Skarda, and aunts and uncles Pat and Bruce Kornely, Jerry and Rita Skarda, Bill and Barb Thorrington, and Rick and Sharon Thorrington, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents George and Ruby Skarda, and maternal grandparents William "Gus" and Winifred "Winnie" Thorrington.
A private family service will be held. Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family. Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
The family would like to thank the staff at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for their compassionate care of Tyler.
