Carlos Garcia, 52, Monticello, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family. 
He was born on June 17, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to Dora (Reyes) Garcia and the late Eduardo Garcia. 
Carlos had lived in the Monticello community for the last 25 years, coming from Bono, Ohio, where he had lived most all of his life.
He had fought a hard 11 month battle with cancer.
Carlos was a graduate of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio. 
He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in rural Monticello.
Carlos was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns Football Fan. 
He had worked at Ball Corporation of Monticello for 25 years.
Carlos was a dedicated family man, very generous, and giving. He enjoyed going to the casino and fishing. Carlos had a great sense of humor with numerous friends, always making everyone feel good and laugh.
Surviving are daughters, Julia M. (companion Nick Birky) Garcia, Monticello, and Monica (David) Watkins, Logansport; grandchildren, Maliyah Watkins, Serena Coonrod, Xavier Wright, Adam Garcia, Racquel J. Garcia, and Isiah Christian Garcia; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Garcia, Monticello; mother, Dora (Reyes) Garcia, Bono, Ohio; former wife, Consuelo R. Herrera – Garcia, Monticello; sisters, Seledina (Walter) Whitten, Curtice, Ohio, Rita Garcia, Toledo, Ohio, and Diana Garcia, Bono, Ohio; brothers, Eduardo Garcia Jr., Jose Garcia, Eberto Garcia, Raul Garcia, all of Bono, Ohio, Ruben Garcia, Cleveland, Ohio, Tomas Garcia and Ramon Garcia, both of Bono, Ohio; mother-in-law, Sylvia Abramo, Monticello; sister-in-law, Rachel (Mike) Roberts, Monticello; brothers-in-law, Julian (Judy) Herrera Jr., Miguel (Stephonie) Herrera Sr., and Matthew (companion Sarah Byroad) Herrera, all of Monticello.
Carlos was preceded in death by father, Eduardo Garcia Sr.; son, Adam Garcia; granddaughter, Analeis J. "Leisey" Garcia; father-in-law, Frank Abramo Sr.; nephew, Thomas "Joey" Whitten; and great-nephew, Arturo Lopez. 
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello.  Celebration of Life Service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Julian Garcia Jr. of the Cornerstone Community Church of rural Monticello officiating. 
Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello. 
Memorials may be given to the family.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
