Mr. Tyree Shaheed “Ty” Fleming, the son of Keith McKnight and Regina McKnight was born February 25, 1991 in Newark, New Jersey. He transitioned to his eternal resting place on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Tyree and his family relocated to Lake City, South Carolina in October 2001. His formal education began in Newark, New Jersey and he later furthered his education in the Lake City School System.
Tyree joined Mega Omega International Holiness Church, under the leadership of Bishop Joe D. Graham. He served on the Youth and Adult Choirs, where he diligently sang songs of Zion. Tyree was an avid singer and enjoyed playing football.
Tyree will always be remembered as a social butterfly, who displayed to everyone his love of God; his fur baby, Karter; people; and music.
Tyree was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ida Isaac; paternal grandfather, John Knight, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Louis Hadley, Jr; one uncle, Johns Knight, Jr.; and an aunt, Lorraine McKnight.
Tyree leaves to cherish his precious memories: his father, Keith McKnight of Darlington, South Carolina; his mother, Regina McKnight of Florence, South Carolina; a sister, Andre’a Fleming of Florence, South Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Fleming of East Orange, New Jersey; seven aunts, Sharon McKnight and Sandra Fleming both of Florence, South Carolina; Mary Isaac of Jacksonville, Florida, Deloris Ford and Cynthia Powell both of Irvington, New Jersey; Janice Seabrook of Jersey City, New Jersey and Shirley Smith of Lake City, South Carolina; three uncles, Irvin Powell of Chadburn, North Carolina; Steven (Deloris) Skipper of Lake City, South Carolina;; and Marvin Fleming of West Orange, New Jersey; his special fur baby and beloved friend, Karter Fleming; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at 418 Graham Street, Florence.
