Tyrell J. Carr Sun Rise: March 8. 1985 / Sun Set: August 4, 2025 With heavy hearts, we come together to share the deeply saddening news of Tyrell J. Carr's passing. He departed from this world peacefully at Albany Medical Center on August 4, 2025, at the young age of 40. Born in the Bronx, New York, Tyrell was truly a beacon of light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. A proud graduate of Berkshire Senior High School, he left a lasting impression as both a talented basketball player and a devoted student at Buffalo State University. In the past eight years, Tyrell devoted himself wholeheartedly to his role as a solar operator, traveling across states with an unwavering dedication to advocating for a sustainable future. He found immense joy in the beauty of nature and treasured moments spent watching football, passionately supporting the Buffalo Bills. He enjoyed playing Madden, dancing to music, and engaging in friendly chess matches. Tyrell's gentle spirit, humility, infectious humor, and radiant smile touched the hearts of many, reminding us all of the goodness in the world. His selfless decision to become an organ donor will continue to keep his legacy alive, as he gifted life to four individuals-a true testament to his loving heart. Tyrell was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rose E. Carr. He is cherished and remembered by his older brother, Darryl Carr; his dear sister-in-law, Kay Lany; and his younger brother, Mitchel Carr. His devoted wife, Suzanne Gregory, stood lovingly by his side as both a partner and confidant. Together, they embraced his stepchildren, Sean Allen and Taylor Hardy, along with their wives, Elena and McKenzie. Their lives were woven together with love, and Tyrell's spirit will forever remain in their hearts. The joy that Tyrell brought to his five precious grandchildren-Aaralyn Allen, Mya Deso, Reilly Szypula, Julian Deso, and Rowan Allen-was beyond measure. They will carry his legacy forward in their everyday lives, reflecting the warmth and love he so generously shared with them. In addition to his immediate family, Tyrell leaves behind a vast circle of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers, each holding a piece of his heart. Their cherished memories ensure that his legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will continue to thrive through the many lives he touched. All relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend his calling hours on August 11th from 4 PM to 6 PM at 501 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12305. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to the American Lung Association, honoring Tyrell's memory and his steadfast commitment to making the world a better place. Your support would mean so much as we remember a truly remarkable individual. https://action.lung.org/site/Donation2?df_id=31272&mfc_pref=T&31272.donation=form1>
