Tyron Cherez George

Tyron Cherez George, 17, of Hartford, beloved son of Ronda Heard and Tylon C. George, Sr., passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford on May 25, 2000, Tyron attended Hartford Public Schools and was a lifelong resident of Hartford. In his spare time, Tyron enjoyed singing, dancing, and playing basketball with his friends. Lovingly referred to as “Fly Guy Ty” and the “Polo Prince”, he was always concerned about his appearance and made sure his sneakers, his frames, clothes and his Air Jordans were perfect. He loved his mother’s cooking and wanted her to open a restaurant called the Red Plate, because of the signature “red plate” she always served his meals on. He also loved eating at the Ranch House for breakfast and Benjie’s Jamaican Restaurant. Most of all, Tyron will be remembered for his love of family, especially his parents, his siblings, his cousins, and his aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Ronda Heard of Hartford and Tylon C. George, Sr. and his wife Nneka Easterling-George of Windsor; six siblings, Jamyra Alexander, Nigel Lighty, Niyah Lighty, and Tylon George, Jr. all of Hartford, and Tylah George and Roosevelt Holmes, II both of Windsor; his maternal grandparents, Deborah Harris of Hartford and Jesse Heard of Windsor; his aunt and his mother’s twin sister who was like a second mother and whom he affectionately referred to, “Auntie Mommy,” Raquel Heard of Atlanta, GA; a special aunt, Auntie Roe of Hartford; a special uncle, Uncle Murk of Hartford; his best friends, Terrod Kerr and JaNiya McCoy both of Hartford; a special friend, Tahjaa Henry of Hartford; his girlfriend, Yastaza Phillips of Hartford; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Melvin Busby and Lagretta George. His family will receive friends on Monday, May 21, 11 a.m. to 12 Noon, followed by a Homegoing Service at 12 Noon, at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Rd., Windsor. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor. A repast will follow interment services in The Lodge Reception Hall.
