United States Army Sergeant First Class (SFC/E-7) Tyrone Bailey was born on April 30, 1962 in Elmhurst Hospital, Queens New York and passed away in
Clarksville, Tennessee on February 13, 2026. He was the beloved son of Henry F. Bailey and Mamie Bailey; and brother Henry Bailey, Jr. all of whom preceded him in death. SFC Bailey left to cherish his memory are Wife Gabriele, Son David Harris (Donna); -grandchildren Aaliyah, Talayeh, Dominic and Bryanna; - Sister Deborah; - Sister In- Laws Beatrix Webb (Federick), Sabine Oenegul (Ozan); - Aunts Elsie Smith (Leonard), Zanie B. Elliott (Rufus-deceased), Barbara Mungin (Sylvester-deceased), Teresa Murphy (Eric); - Great Friend 1SG Maurice L. Scott (Colette) and God-children Ashley, Ariel and Justin and a host of loving Family members, cousins, nieces, nephews, Veterans, close Friends and Coworkers.
SFC Bailey grew up in Long Island City, New York and at a young age he was Baptized at Holy Unity Baptist Church in Corona, Queens. He loved to exercise, ride his bike at high speeds, watch the New York Knicks and other sport teams. During his high school years, he was enrolled in the LaGuardia College-Bound Program and attended classes on campus.
He joined the United States Army in 1979, completed Basic Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and served as a mechanic. While in the service he completed high school classes and received his diploma. He received his medical training at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas and served as an advanced life support (ALS) professional Paramedic. He served in Panama for Operation Just Cause and continued active-duty military service until 1999 when he retired at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In 1991 when he was assigned duty in Germany, he met Gabriele Christine Harris in Marburg. They got married in 1994 and she relocated to the United States. In retirement, he worked over the years as licensed HVAC operator, CDL tractor trailer cross-country driver, and at Ft. Campbell Commissary and one of the leaders in charge of the Mechanic Shop.
SFC Bailey was a loving and responsible husband, father and grandfather, strong and resilient soldier, respected leader and positive thinker. He had the mental, physical and spiritual fortitude needed to face danger, overcome personal fear and lead others with integrity. At home, he liked privacy with his family and shared his view on newsworthy information about the State of the Union, international affairs and national weather reports. We will see him again not only in the next lifetime, but in our dreams and we will feel his love in our spirit when we're doing something that reminds us of his service to others, kindness, generosity and advice on safety concerns. Services will be held for Sergeant First Class Bailey on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and the Service will be at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West (5817 Fort Campbell Blvd,
