Tyrone Leonard Person

Tyrone Leonard Person, age 33, of London, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Born in Luverne, AL, he was the son of John Henry Person and Inez McDougal Person.

Tyrone was kind beyond measure and truly lived by the Golden Rule. He found joy in helping others, fishing, and making people laugh. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone he had just met, Tyrone had a way of brightening your day with his humor and warmth. Above all, he loved his family and his faith deeply, and he took great joy in attending church and sharing God’s love with others.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Person.

He is survived by his mother, Inez Person; wife, Angel Meeks; two children; siblings, Ralph Person, Shaun Person, and Diane Squire; special niece and nephew, Trey and Aaliyah; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 12:00–2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
