Tyrone Wesley Swanson was born on July 10th, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Leon Swanson and Anne Swanson. Tyrone transitioned to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation in Nashville, Tennessee.
Tyrone attended Metro Nashville Public Schools and he also attended The Job Corp after finishing High School.
Tyrone was very well known in the area of East Nashville, known as Rock City. That’s where he lived most of his life. He loved music and had every record that was on the charts, and was always blasting his music through the house, growing up.
Tyrone will be missed by family and friends for his great sense of humor. We will forever cherish these memories. He was the oldest of 8 kids and he didn’t let us forget that. He will be missed!
Tyrone was survived by his mother, Anne F. Swanson, devoted son, Steven Nelson (Shanita), granddaughters, Shaterrica Peters and Marquisha Robinson, great grandchildren, T.J. and Journey Peters, Gabe and K. J. Robinson, Lenora Swanson, Brenda Swanson, Mary Swanson-Dunnaway, Kim Boleyjack, Mel Boleyjack, brothers, Charles Swanson, Morris Swanson, Wilton Gore, William Boleyjack, Michael Boleyjack, Ricky Boleyjack, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who he loved dearly.
