Ulysees Johnson Obituary
He is preceded in death by his mother, Alvedia Thompkins.
Ulysees is survived by his wife, Tira Johnson of Austell, GA; sons, Carl Johnson and Brandon (Alexus) Johnson; daughters, Deasja Montchal (Nicolas) and Qwameshia McCall (Alfonso); sisters, Rosa L. Thompkins, Diane Jones (Freddy, Sr.), Patricia Johnson-Robinson (Dexter, Sr.), Christina Johnson-Lundy, Geraldine McLaurin; brothers, Tyrone Thompkins, Sr. (Wanda), Henry Edwards Sr. (Angenette), and Alphonso Gadson, Sr.; grandson, Isaiah Milton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Wake and Public Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Generation Church of Hawthorne, 22500 SE 71st Avenue, Hawthorne, FL 32640.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Salt Church, 8105 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32606. Interment immediately following in Forest Meadows Memorial Park - Central, 4100 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32606.

To Ulysees Family - I am so sorry to hear about Ulysees' passing. I knew him for a long time due to both of us working many years @ Shands. He was a great guy and know he will be truly missed. Please accept my deepest sympathies and prayers.
