Ursula Cooper, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Edgewood, Texas, at the age of 83.

Born on February 16, 1942, in Herrnhut, Germany, Ursula was the daughter of August and Erna Porschke. She spent her early years in Germany and graduated from Darmstadt High School in 1957. Her formative years shaped a woman known for her strength of character and unwavering independence.

Ursula's life was marked by a spirited determination and a deep love for her family. She was a devoted mother to her son, Ronny Cooper and his wife Charice. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren-Warren Sprague, Jeff Sprague, Andrea Whitaker, Chelsea Barnes, and Mariah Brown-and seven great-grandchildren: Mathew Sprague, Brandon Sprague, Waylon Sprague, Cove Sprague, River Sprague, Harper Brown, Piper Lauren Whitaker and Cooper Barnes.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Glenn Cooper, son, Darrell Cooper and daughter, Angie Sprague.

Those who knew Ursula will remember her as loving and courageous. She was headstrong in the best sense-never afraid to speak her mind or stand firm in her beliefs. Her honesty was matched by a generous heart and an infectious zest for life.

Ursula found joy in simple pleasures: cooking meals that brought people together around the table; tending to her garden with care and pride; exploring new places through travel; and most of all, cherishing time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These moments were the heartbeat of her days.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with passion and purpose.

Family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date.
