Ursula Veronica Richards

Ursula Veronica Richards of Brooklyn, New York, entered eternal rest on January 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

Born on December 21, 1934, in Airy Hall, Guyana, Ursula Nedd was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Nedd. From an early age, she was grounded in faith, family, and service-values that guided her throughout her life. She built a life rooted in devotion to God, love for her family, and commitment to her community. Known for her generosity, kindness, and quiet strength, Ursula was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a loyal friend to all who knew her.

Mrs. Richards' greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, resilience, and compassion. She was a homemaker who found joy in reading, cooking, baking, crocheting, traveling, and most especially in serving the Lord. A faithful member of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Brooklyn, New York, Ursula served in the choir for more than 35 years and was one of the founding members of the Older Adults Center, where her presence and spirit touched many lives.

Mrs. Ursula is survived by her sister Beryl, her brother Eric, her children, Carmen, Reynard, and Roald; her daughters-in-law, Marian and Kanette; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Austin, Enesii, Zion, Ashlynn, and Angela. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Rudolph Richards.

A Homegoing Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, February 12, at 10:00 a.m. at Gregory Levett & Sons, 914 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Though she has answered God's call and now rests in His eternal care, Ursula Veronica Richards will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
