Ursula Smith

Ursula Charlotte (Batz) Smith received her new body in heaven on December 31, 2025, in the Stonehaven Home while under the care of West Virginia Caring Hospice. She was born on October 15, 1946, in Schweinfurt Germany. Ursula came to United States upon marrying her first husband the late Roger Lee "Smitty" Smith a US Army Sgt. Here they would grow a loving family. Their children Sandra S. Smith-Davis (Patrick) and George E. Smith (Amber) Ursula was a lover of people and would help anyone in need. She volunteered her nursing skills at health access and the Clarksburg mission before retiring to care for the love of her life, Harry L. Young. She was a lover of life and family. She will be missed by many extended family and friends that became family including her grandchildren Jason Smith, Sarah Davis -Zajic (Frank), Jordan Earl (Hannah) Bradford Elliott (Megan) Great grandchildren Jacob Smith, Madi Zajic, Hensley and Jace Earl, Morgan and Marley Elliott We wish to thank the staff at Stonehaven Home, West Virginia Caring Hospice, and Scott Kittle for his kindness and helping us navigate this difficult time. In keeping with her spirit of giving, Ursula chose to donate her body to the WVU Human Gift Registry. No services will be provided.
