Ustinah Sumantri Obituary

Remember Me

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I've only gone to rest a little while.

Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt,
and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me,
not as I am now, but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all,
and look on with a smile.
Understand in your hearts,
I've only gone to rest a little while.

As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.

I remember the first time I met you, Ustina.... I stopped to say hello to Nana, your wonderful daughter that my husband told me about as he went for his dayly walk with Bo... We all called you "mama... "You welcomed me with the sweetest smile... and I smiled back at you with my heart... Soft spoken, twinkle in your eyes, we sat facing eachother and discovered that we both spoke Dutch... My heart adopted your kindness, and I thank God for having had you in my life for a while... on Nana's back porch...I know, mama, that Heaven is rejoicing since you arrived.... many were there to welcome you I know.... and among them was my darling husband, Antero.... We still love you mama... Ustina! My sincere condolences to Nana and family...they will miss you so much!!!! Maria Valentini, Cobourg xxxx
