Vahona Armstrong Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Vahona Russell Armstrong, 53, of Choudrant, LA, will be 6:30 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Christ Church in Ruston, with Pastor Amos McFalls officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mrs. Armstrong was born February 18, 1970 and passed away on September 29, 2023. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Most of all, Mrs. Armstrong loved being with her grandchildren. She lived and breathed for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling them by all means necessary. Mrs. Armstrong also enjoyed going to concerts and the casino.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Jimmie Dell Russell; and four brothers, Darrell Russell, Raymond Russell, Harold Russell, and Gene Russell.
Survivors include her husband of 7 years, Shannon Armstrong; three children, Patrick Russell and wife Megan, Jessica Russell and fiancé’, Bobby Marron, Savanah Slaton and husband Phillip; her pride and joys nine grandchildren, Alanna, Addie, Gabriel, Isabella, Austyn, Sterling, Jorja, Oakley, and Riggs; sister, Joyce Russell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Memorials may be made to Choudrant Elementary or Choudrant High School.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Christ Church in Ruston.
