Val Jerry Cook went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 18, 2023 in Ada, Oklahoma.
Val was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Linda Stick and Val Miller on October 10,1984 at Carl Albert Hospital. During his high-school years he attended Oak Avenue Baptist Church and accepted the Lord as his savior at Falls Creek youth camp in the summer of 2003. He graduated from Ada High School in 2004. He went on to Pontotoc Technology Center and studied carpentry. Val fell in love with Brenda Oliver in the summertime. He asked her to be his girlfriend on June 2, 2002. He was just 17 years old and she just 15 years old. They instantly fell in love and spent the next 5 years growing as a couple. Val married the love of his life, Brenda Oliver on December 18, 2007. Together they welcomed into this world two beautiful boys Jace Brendan Cook (14) and Jaxon Cade Cook (11). God gave Val and Brenda 20 beautiful years together.
Val had an infectious laugh and personality. He brought smiles and joy to the faces of all who knew him. Val was a family man. His wife and two boys were his whole world. He loved his boys to the moon and back. He tried to be the best Dad, husband, brother, and son he could be. He loved his mom, dad, sister and brother with his whole heart. Val also loved his tribe the Chickasaw Nation. He worked for the Chickasaw Nation as a facility service specialist and also served on the carpet team as well and took pride in his job. Val touched the lives of so many people in his short 38 years he had here on this earth. His memory and legacy will live on through his two boys.
Val is survived by his wife, Brenda Cook; his sons, Jace and Jaxon; his parents, Linda Stick and Val Miller; his sister, Dana Godwin and her husband Steven Godwin; his brother, Jeremiah Adams and his wife Megan Adams; his nephew, Mckenzie Ingram; his niece, Jaden McCoy and her husband Tim McCoy; his niece, Jazmyn Stick; his great nieces, Sophia McCoy and Sienna McCoy; his father in law and mother in law, Dan Oliver and Gwen Oliver; his brother in law, Bryce Oliver; and so many aunts, uncles, and cousins and countless family and friends.
