I just looked Facebook today to check on some people I have not seen or talked to in some time-
How devastated I was to see you that you have passed on. Rest In Peace Val

I was never super close to Val, but every time we hung out I was awestruck by his almost-out of time character. The respect he had for his sister, his girlfriends, and family was fierce, in the way it should be. We bonded over love of our shared culture, and our opinion of what a man should be;
just, kind, chivalrous, but also a capable defender when times called for it. Imho, we need more great, moral men like Val, particularly in the Seaford, NY area where we both grew up.
