Valerie Parrish Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 4, 2026.
Valerie Hess Parrish, 65, passed away at her home on March 1, 2026. She was born on November 30, 1960, to Earl and Margaret Hess.

Valerie was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in love, faith, and family. She had a vibrant spirit and a heart that welcomed everyone she met. Music was one of her greatest joys, and she especially loved listening to old rock and roll, country rock, and country rap. Her home was often filled with the sounds of her favorite songs, and music brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.

Valerie also had a special love for animals and was especially crazy about her beloved dogs, Nicky and Rusty, who brought her endless companionship and joy.

Above all else, Valerie cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She loved gathering together, sharing stories, laughing, and simply enjoying each other's company. Her home and her heart were always open, and those who knew her will remember her warmth, kindness, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved.

Most importantly, Valerie was a devoted Christian. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. She leaned on her faith during both joyful and difficult times, and it guided the love and compassion she showed to those around her. Her relationship with God was deeply important to her, and she carried that faith with quiet strength and conviction.

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Heidi Dible; her beloved grandchildren, Ayden Dible, Devin Dible, Taylor Blacksten, and Brenyn Craig; and her sister, Brenda (Tom) Mathews.

In addition to her parents, Earl and Margaret Hess, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Becky Reed; her son-in-law, Nick Reed; and her sibling, Lacy Hess.

Valerie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of music, and most of all, her deep devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
