Valerie J. Rousey, affectionately known as "Val," passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Born in Bristol, Connecticut, Val spent her early years traveling the world as her father served in the military, living in places such as France, Italy, and Germany. She eventually made Florida her home, settling in Titusville in 1996, where she lived most of her adult life.

Val was a woman of many passions-she loved reading, swimming, and sewing-but above all, she cherished time spent with family and friends. Known for her warm heart and wise advice, Val was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her outgoing spirit and deep faith made her an active and beloved member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Blanche Fecteau, and her devoted husband of 24 years, Ronald Rousey, Jr. Val is survived by her three children, Kerrie Rousey, Kim King (Mike), and Keith Rousey; her sisters, Barbara Gonzalez (Sergio) and Patricia Scuderi (Vinny); her nephews and nieces, Bryce, Evan, Corie, Vinny, and Xina; her grandchildren, Andrew Rousey and Matthew King; and one great-grandchild, Ares Adonis King.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville at a later date to be determined.

North Brevard Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Teresa Catholic Church in Val's honor.
