Alvin Stephen Rousey, 56, of Royston, GA, entered his heavenly home on November 11, 2025. A graveside service will be held at Pine Mountain Valley First Baptist Church Cemetery, 16020 SR-116, Hamilton, GA 31811, on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm EST.
Alvin was born in Reynolds, GA on August 18, 1969. He was raised by his grandparents, Rev. Isaac David and Rosie Nell McAbee. He frequently visited church families with his grandfather and enjoyed every trip. He loved everyone and was happiest when socializing. He loved spending time with Paula and his friends at Custom Industries in Winder, Georgia. Alvin also enjoyed music, cars, and watching wrestling or the Power Rangers. He was also a big fan of Alabama football. In 2001, he met Frances Stokes and her family, which quickly became his family as well. They cared for him and helped guide him through life until his passing. Alvin has a huge heart and kept everyone smiling. He was a devoted Christian and showed his faith through his daily actions. Alvin will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Alvin is survived by his family by choice, Frances Stokes, Edward and Mary Sepe and son Ryan Sepe, Charles and Vicki Pharis and son Andrew (Melanie), Barry and Terri Walker and daughter Sarah Richardson, and Will and Jackie Stucki, as well as numerous beloved friends.
