Valerie Marie Taylor
Age 59, of Bethel Park, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Loving daughter of Mary C. Taylor and the late William H. Taylor. Beloved sister of William J. Taylor. Beloved aunt of Travis (Kathryn) Taylor, Alexis (Tyler) Trovato, Zachary (Fiancé Toni Gerace) Taylor. Beloved great aunt of Addison and Brantley Taylor. Cherished Niece of  James D. (Peggy) Laver and the late Joseph P. (Surviving Spouse Eleanor) Laver. Valerie was born in Pittsburgh, PA., raised in Bethel Park, PA., and graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1983. She was employed at the Pittsburgh Public School District for Seven years, having to retire due to Multiple Sclerosis. Her strength and faith is what carried her through 36 years with M.S. She was a member of St Thomas More Parish, where she enjoyed volunteering her time with kids, doing arts and crafts. Family and friends welcome Wednesday 6-8 pm, Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm FREYVOGEL-SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS (412-835-1860) 112 Fort Couch Rd., Bethel Park 15241 (Opposite Macy’s, South Hills Village). Additional  visitation Friday 11:00 am until funeral prayer at 12:15pm followed by Mass of Christian burial at Resurrection Parish, St. John Capistran Church at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made in Val’s memory to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
