Valerie Welch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City on Dec. 3, 2025.
Valerie Louise Welch, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Valerie was born to the late Gilbert and Edna (Kesterson) Luper. She attended Jefferson City High School and went on to serve her community with compassion as a Certified Medical Aide for Castle Park Nursing Home. Her gentle nature and dedication touched the lives of many she cared for.
Valerie enjoyed sewing, reading, and coloring, and she loved relaxing with a good show. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and grandchildren, who were the center of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina Pearon (Michael), Krista Welch, and Edna Welch; her brother, Stanley Uptegrove (Louise); her sister, Velda Morgan (Gerald); and her beloved grandchildren: James Pearon, Lakota Pearon, Gage Pearon, Mathew Robertson, Savanna Robertson, Launa Robertson, and Tequila Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her sisters, Bonnie Scheperle and Rita Belt; her brother, Richard Luper; and seven grandchildren.
Valerie will be remembered for her warm heart, her quiet strength, and her deep love for her family. Her presence will be greatly missed and forever treasured.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to Houser-Millard Funeral Director's to assist the family with funeral costs.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main St.; Jefferson City, MO 65109. (573) 636-3838. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.millardfamilychapels.com
