Valery Mariana And Gissel Samanta Cardona Gomez

Valery Mariana Cardona Gomez, 13, and Gissel Samanta "Sammy" Cardona Gomez, 11, passed away tragically on Thursday April 10, 2025. The sisters were born in Bogota, Colombia and previously resided in Bridgeton, NJ before moving to Millville 2 ½ years ago.
Valery was a 7th grade student at Bishop Schad Regional School in Vineland, NJ. She loved gymnastics, painting, and singing. Valery dreamed of one day going into the Army.
Sammy was a 5th grade student at Bishop Schad Regional School. She enjoyed gymnastics, reading, and being organized. She loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian or actress one day.
The girls loved each other endlessly and were almost always together.
Valery and Sammy are the beloved daughters of Lorena Cardona Gomez and Jhon Rodriguez. They are survived and will be sadly missed by their siblings Alahia, Rousse, and Alejandro. They are also survived by their paternal grandparents Angela Hernandez and Alexander Rodriguez, and their maternal Libia Gomez and Jose Cardona, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to join together in remembrance of these two beautiful souls on Thursday April 17, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Christy Funeral Home, 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. Valery Mariana Cardona Gómez, de 13 años, y Gissel Samanta "Sammy" Cardona Gómez, de 11, fallecieron trágicamente el jueves 10 de abril de 2025. Las hermanas nacieron en Bogotá, Colombia, y residieron en Bridgeton, Nueva Jersey, antes de mudarse a Millville hace dos años y medio.
Valery cursaba séptimo grado en la Escuela Regional Bishop Schad de Vineland, Nueva Jersey. Le encantaba la gimnasia, la pintura y el canto. Soñaba con alistarse algún día en el ejército.
Sammy cursaba quinto grado en la Escuela Regional Bishop Schad. Disfrutaba de la gimnasia, la lectura y ser organizada. Amaba a los animales y quería ser veterinaria o actriz algún día.
Las niñas se amaban infinitamente y casi siempre estaban juntas.
Valery y Sammy son las queridas hijas de Lorena Cardona Gómez y Jhon Rodríguez. Les sobreviven y sus hermanos Alahia, Rousse y Alejandro las extrañarán profundamente. También les sobreviven sus abuelos paternos, Ángela Hernández y Alexander Rodríguez, y sus abuelos maternos, Libia Gómez y José Cardona, así como numerosas tías, tíos, primos y familiares.
