Van is survived by his son Van Young Johnson Jr. (wife Tiffany Jean Johnson), his daughters Crystal Renee Ferrell (husband Gary Lyle Ferrell Jr.), and Alexis Marie Johnson. Sister, Julie Darlene Johnson Hudgens. Also surviving to cherish his memories are grandchildren, Devin James Johnson, Weston Edward Short, Jake Van Johnson, and Austin Young Short. Great grandchildren, Delilah LeeAnn Ferrell, and Vayda Hazel Anthony.
